This vessel was built as a training vessel for the Japanese government and was converted as a research ship.
She is fully operational and was dry docked approx 6 months ago when a full bottom survey and ultra sonic testing of the bottom plating was done.In addition she was surveyed by NKK class surveyors and brought back into fresh IACS class. She presents in top condition throughout. We inspected her personally in June 2014.
All machinery is in first class working order with spares readily available
In addition the CPP propeller, rudder and shafting where removed and all bearings/seals replaced.
She is in exceptional condition for her age and can be used “as is” or converted very easily.
